We are a growing company looking for an efficient Systems Engineer to help us setup and manage our computing infrastructure.

Installation of new networking and computing infrastructures.
Monitoring systems in the existing network to ensure there are no productivity set-backs.
Installing and configuring operating systems and application software.
Implementing best practices for system security and data backups.
Anticipating potential issues or bottlenecks and identifying possible solutions.
Troubleshooting and resolving all technical issues when they arise.
Knowledge of common network tools (e.g., ping, traceroute, nslookup)
Knowledge of cyber defence policies, procedures, and regulations
Knowledge of different types of network communication (e.g., Local Area Network LAN , Wide Area Network WAN , Wireless Local Area Network WLAN )
Knowledge of SIEM, Intrusion Detection System (IDS) tools and applications
Knowledge of different classes of attacks (e.g., passive, active, insider, close-in, distribution)
Knowledge of vulnerability assessment tools, including open source tools, and their capabilities
Knowledge of incident response and handling methodologies
Knowledge of general attack stages (e.g., footprinting and scanning, enumeration, gaining access, escalation of privileges, maintaining access, network exploitation, covering tracks)
Knowledge of system and application security threats and vulnerabilities (e.g., buffer overflow, mobile code, cross-site scripting, Procedural and injections, race conditions, covert channel, replay, return-oriented attacks, malicious code)Language / Structured Query Language PL / SQL
Liaising with vendors and keeping relevant stakeholders up to date with developments.
Minimum Bachelor Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics Engineering or IT-related disciplines.
Good Technical knowledge and preferably at least 5 year relevant experience in the following :
Familiarity with administration, performance tuning, and system monitoring.
Server administration such as Active Directory, DNS, MS SQL Databases, security configuration and patching, and Backup / Restore
Network administration such as router and firewall configuration
SAN storage, Load-balancing, and Clustering
Various Virtualization technologies such as VMWare and Hyper-V
Candidate with relevant certifications will be added advantage
Pro-active, dynamic and possess good analytical and conceptual thinking
Good communication skills (written, verbal, and face-to-face)
