Get to know the role :
Head of Strategic Partnerships is a business partner for the GrabFood Business Development (BD) team. On a venn diagram, responsibilities of this position sit in the intersection of Partnerships, Strategy & Planning, and Operations.
This role plays a key role in driving regional business development strategies by evaluating strategic business opportunities, analyzing & tracking partnerships, and assisting in deal structuring & execution.
Responsibilities also include handling cross-functional communication with Product, Strategy, and Operations teams.
What you’ll do
Be the strategic brain power for the GrabFood BD team
Lead a team of strategic partnerships managers and associates
Oversee planning, reporting, and tracking of all the deals
Work closely with the Head of BD to create long term and impactful strategies
Collaborate with Ops, Product, and Marketing teams to align on strategy, partnership targets, and work closely to execute deals
Drive team accountability by managing the regional deal pipeline and review process, ensuring deals serve company strategy, accounting for risk appropriately, monitoring competitive developments, and conducting impact assessments / readouts in collaboration with the data analytics team
What You’ll Need
At least 10 years of relevant experience in investment banking, strategy consulting or experience managing a P&L portfolio at a high growth company
High on EQ and IQ with financial modeling and complex problem solving skills
Strategic thinker - able to add value to a business strategy or negotiation
Effective oral and written communication skills
Familiarity collaborating with and presenting to senior executives
Ability to work in cross functional teams (business development, legal, finance, accounting, etc.)
Ability to multi-task and deal with time pressure in an unstructured environment; ability to work through uncertainty
MBA from a top school preferred, with demonstrated strong academic performance
