The Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) immediately invites applications for openings for Research Fellow positions in the areas of design and development of novel aerial robotics.

Researchers will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of scientists, designers and engineers to design and develop a aerial robotic platform with agile manipulation capability.

This project involves :

  • Designing, modelling and developing a unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) with onboard serial and / or parallel-based manipulators for advanced tasks requiring manipulation at high altitudes
  • Devising and integrating lightweight sensors and actuators to allow the aerial-based manipulator to be controlled and commanded
  • Simulation and experimental trials to asses and evaluate the performance of the aerial-based manipulation UAV system.
  • Applications should contain a complete resume, cover letter describing their background, technical skillset (PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace / Aeronautical Engineering, Control Engineering, Machine Vision, Computer Science, Robotics, or related discipline) and contact information of up to three references.

    These positions are guaranteed for a year, renewable, and come with a competitive salary which is determined based on the applicants' achievements, experience and qualifications.
