Job summary

Relationship Manager in charge of an existing portfolio of GCF customers and providing high quality services to them, managing the credit / operational / compliance risks, pursuing efficient usage of the credit facilities and actively developing new accounts.

Portfolio Management

  • Handling an existing portfolio of customers;
  • Regular interaction with clients;
  • Identification of our client's needs and ensuring the clients' objectives are in line with our Bank's strategy;
  • Writing-up call memos and credit requests including the description of the client's background, activity, strategy, size, performance, hedging policy, and proposed credit facilities;
  • Presentation to the various Credit Committees and Portfolio reviews;
  • Keeping up to date on clients' business developments and commodity markets developments to ensure the underlying credit risks are within our approval;
  • Actively manage and track credit / operational / compliance risks;
  • Cross-selling to other business lines whenever relevant.
  • Development of Asian GCF portfolio

  • Identification of new prospects, in line with the defined Asian GCF strategy;
  • Marketing and identification of their financing needs and structuring credit lines;
  • Conduct credit evaluations;
  • Putting-up related credit file requests;
  • Presentation to the various Credit Committees.
  • Monitoring of daily transactions and client's global position

  • Bridge between external clients and internal mid- & back- offices including but not limited to Risk and Credit Departments, Operations Department, Legal and Compliance Departments, and GCF units in other locations;
  • With the help of Account Officer, Preparation and / or first validation of the clients transactions to be submitted for approvals;
  • Checking client's financing requests versus approvals with identification and information on variances and advise on mitigating factors in containing the transaction risks / deviations;
  • With the help of Account Officer, update and follow through the life of the transaction (loading dates, receipt of export instruments / checking export LCs) with identification and information on variances;
  • With the help of Account Officer, perform collateral risk management ensuring that, at all times, there is no collateral shortfall.
  • In charge of specific documentation

  • Account opening documentation and update on the existing documentation;
  • Establishing and / or reviewing KYCs;
  • In association with Legal Department and SDOC : letter of offer, deed of charge, notification of receivables, risk cover contracts, business relationship confirmation, tripartite agreements for hedging, CMA / SMA or other relevant storage financing documentation, etc.;
  • Prepare periodic reports for management purposes whenever applicable.
  • Minimal education level

    Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

    Academic qualification / Speciality

    Degree or equivalent in relevant discipline

    Experience

    Relevant experience as a Relationship Manager in financial institutions
