Emerging SEA comprises of developed and emerging countries spanning across Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Maldives, Mongolia and Laos.

These markets have attractive macro-factors with GDP of £430B, growing between 3%-8%. Our main markets are Malaysia, Singapore and Cambodia where we operate through partnerships -

we have Joint Ventures with Moet-Hennessy for Malaysia and Singapore spirits for example. In our smaller markets we operate through 3rd party distributors, but continue to evaluate opportunities to expand our participation.

The ESEA Marketing Director's role is to ensure strong marketing plans and execution across ESEA markets to deliver the growth and equity ambitions.

What you will need to accomplish in the role :

  • Own the Portfolio Participation Strategy & Execution based on local insights and opportunities, and reflecting Diageo strategic direction
  • Manage the Portfolio and individual brands on a day to day basis, with clear accountability for all brand measures and brand compliance
  • Adapt Global Growth drivers to be locally relevant, and selective local development where necessary
  • Ensure robust Marketing Plans & Execution
  • What you need to bring to the table :

  • A strong and mature leader who leads and creates tangible business impact
  • An owners’ mentality and the ability to navigate ambiguity with ease
  • High level of Judgement and able to make decisions without much data
  • A high level of curiosity and expertise to spot new possibilities’ able to uncover consumer insights and translate these into marketing initiatives
  • Minimum 12+ year’s business experience in Consumer Marketing industry / Services
  • Emerging markets experience would be advantageous
