Booking. (Singapore) Pte Ltd., one of the support companies for Booking.com BV (the company behind Booking.com™), is looking for an experienced Network Engineer to help maintaining the Global Network and Data Center infrastructure.
You will be closely working with other members of the network team around the globe to ensure continued success for Booking.com.

The team is responsible for connecting our customers (Booking employees) around the world in a secure way to a reliable and stable network in order to be able to use all available IT resources to perform their work.
You will be responsible (with other seniors in the team) for setting up and maintaining architecture of these office networks.
Moreover keeping up with innovations in the network as well as scalability and availability of it. You also will contribute to improving automation of changes and deployments of new office networks.
Note that the team is a so called devops team, meaning that part of the work is hands on troubleshooting and solving problems and incidents and the other part is designing, building and maintaining the network.
Work with the business and users to define needs, identify problems, evaluating potential solutions, demonstrating and implementing improvements;
Create scripts with purpose of automating tasks within network and share knowledge with a team;
Strong focus on innovations and respond quickly and confidently to change;
Be capable of working proactively and independently in your day-to-day role;
Act as an escalation point of contact for the other teams to resolve complex issues;
Collaborate with Network and Security teams on finding the right solutions to existing problems;
Challenge ideas and methods while working together with talented, highly skilled team members;
Assist the manager to improve the skills of junior team members and provide technical guidance;
Maintain and develop knowledge of technology trends.
Detailed knowledge of TCP / IP, as well as routing / switching protocols and technologies, such as OSPF, BGP, IPv4, IPv6, RSTP, LACP, etc.
Understanding of zone-based firewall logic, NAT, etc.
CCNA or JNCIS-ENT required, JNCIP-ENT or CCNP would be beneficial.
Professional proficiency with the JunOS CLI for Juniper routers, switches and firewalls is absolutely required, but not expected upon hiring.
Detailed knowledge of IKE / IPsec, authentication, SSH and other security technologies.
Understanding of various physical network media types and corresponding SFP optics is a huge benefit (SMF vs. MMF and best use-
cases, 1GE-LX / LH vs. 1GE-SX, 10GBASE-LR vs. 10GBASE-SR).
Willingness to learn about complex wireless networks.
Experience in designing, implementing, migrating and supporting medium to large scale networks.
Hands-on experience with monitoring, logging and network data analysis.
Experience with Juniper, Aruba, Palo Alto and Cisco devices is a benefit.
