The SolarWinds APAC team is growing! As a Sales Engineer, you will have an opportunity to be part of the growth story by exciting customers, channel partners and sales colleagues every day on the value of SolarWinds products.
You will be using your in-depth technical knowledge of the product portfolio to provide sound technical advice, enable a great experience for customers and partners during the product evaluation cycle, and gain customer commitment.
This will include interaction via email, telephone, online remote meetings, and may involve occasional travel.

Demonstrates SolarWinds solutions that simplifies the job of IT professionals
Assists customers to successfully evaluate SolarWinds solutions to meet their requirements
Assists sales reps to offer product solutions that solve business needs and overcome challenges.
Performs basic troubleshooting techniques on all SolarWinds products.
Assists peers with channel partner training on the latest SolarWinds offerings
Provide feedback to SolarWinds Product Management team on customer feedback, feature / functionality requests and issues.
Good oral & written communication, and presentation skills are critical for this position.
A good mix of technical ability, sales and customer interaction skills are required.
Prior experience in a similar pre-sales or technical role within a software vendor or a preferred partner / systems integrator would be seen as a plus
Prior experience in a IT helpdesk function would be seen as a plus
Bachelor's degree in a relevant Business or Computing discipline or 3+ years’ experience in related field (Network Engineer, Network Administrator, System Administrator or similar IT related job function).
Industry recognized certifications such as CCNA would be seen as a plus
Experience with TCP / IP based networks and a fundamental understanding of Network and Application Management protocols including SNMP, Syslog, ICMP, WMI, RPC, DNS, DHCP, and LDAP.
Experience in Windows 2012 / 2016 and SQL 2012 / 2014 / 2016 / 2017 is highly desirable
Must have good reasoning and technical troubleshooting skills.
