Reporting to the Director of Spa, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following

  • Meet with potential members to show spa facility and programs and take responsibility for the professional delivery of all information on the telephone and in person to all potential members
  • Successfully selling Spa membership, individual and joining packages by undertaking guided tours of the premises, providing a thorough explanation of the facilities available, discussing prices and negotiating discounts for bulk sales (e.g. corporate packages)
  • Selling and promoting associated items such as personal training packages
  • Reaching and regularly exceeding personal sales targets for the month
  • Contacting existing members regarding special promotions, updates and notifications
  • Implement 12 month strategy for membership acquisition alongside the Director of Spa
  • Develop and implement prospect follow up : phone, letters, thank you cards etc
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of competitors, including location, product offering, pricing, promotions, and sales techniques
  • Responsible for organizing and participating in off-site promotional activities
  • Handling escalated queries / complaints and successfully resolving
  • Maintain a flexible approach at all times in order to deal with the high amount of walk-in enquiries, operational demands and phone calls that are received each day
  • Assist in the administration and implementation of staff training in all aspects of the spa operations i.e. business telephone usage, guest relations, retail sales, spa services etc
  • Assist in the supervision / operation of all spa departments
  • Acting as a proactive member of the team and leading by example
  • Portraying a friendly and professional image at all times
  • Working shift hours, which include late evenings and weekends
  • Conduct routine checks frequently for entire Spa premises, including Gym and ensure cleanliness and proper repairs or replacements are done promptly
  • Ensure smooth operations at front desk, including reception and cashiering
  • Ensure smooth operations at the Gym and counter is being attended to at all times
  • Liaise with various internal departments (Property Maintenance, Engineering, Laundry, Hotels’ Front Office) on the maintenance and smooth operations of entire Spa and Gym
  • Conduct weekly Spa inspection together with Property Maintenance Manager and Spa Supervisor to ensure that all repairs / replacements are completed and followed up promptly
  • Liaise with suppliers on Spa equipments’ breakdown
  • Ensure the grooming standards of all Spa staff are adhered to the Hotel’s policy
  • Comply with hotel / spa and department policies and procedures at all times
  • Carry out any other duties as and when assigned by the Management of the Hotel / Spa
  • Qualifications :

  • Diploma in Sports & Wellness or relevant discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a hospitality, sales or spa environment
  • Experience in Sales, Spa or membership management is a significant asset
  • Excellent communication skill, both written and spoken
  • Computer-literate in Microsoft Word and Excel
